What are we doing for the environment?

There’s no need for you to worry about the carbon footprint that you may create in getting to Mt Huia! To reduce the environmental impact of an intensive farming system, Mt Huia is operated under an accredited Sustainable Land Use Plan.

And every year a tree is planted for every week of the year, to build up a carbon sink and at the same time assist in erosion control and drainage.

We see ourselves as the currentcustodians of the land and farm called Mt Huia, and take pride in caring for and enhancing this wonderful environment for future generations.
