A love of the outdoors, family life, golf and other sport, animals, and the garden encompass their main interests. They take pride in providing a homely, relaxed environment, and enjoy meeting and conversing with guests.

Neil was raised on a sheep and beef farm, and after travelling to the United Kingdom and Europe completed a farming qualification at Massey University in Palmerston North. He takes great pleasure in discussing farming practises and policies, and always welcomes the company of guests, including children, on his frequent trips onto the farm.

Virginia also travelled to do the Kiwi “OE" (Overseas Experience!) before leaving the urban environment for a life “on the other side of the fence. She is qualified as a dietitian but after more than 30 years in the profession has now “retired" to concentrate on the hospitality business and her other interests. She has a love of cooking, which is reflected in the delicious biscuits and meals she produces.

Even though originally from Rotorua and Taupo, Neil and Virginia are proud of the area in which they have developed their farm and family interests, and aim to have all their guests leave with good memories, feeling refreshed, and knowing that their visit was important to them.
